Someday humans and electronic computer will combine together to make cyborgs . But or else of wait for it , Martin Magnusson , a Swedish research worker and enterpriser , has ingest the first step and create a wearable data processor that can be slung across the physical structure .
Magnusson has hack a dyad of head - mount display glasses and combined it with a homebrewed machine based on a open germ Beagleboard single estimator . Packed into a compact disc event and slung across the shoulder joint courier - bag dash , he is ready to undulate .
A computer is a windowpane to the virtual world , says Magnusson .
“ But as soon as I get up and about , that window close down and I ’m stick within the terminus ad quem of strong-arm realism , ” he says . “ Wearable computing machine make it possible to keep the window open air . All the time . ”
Magnusson ’s idea is interesting though one step suddenly of integrating a motorcar inside the consistence . Forhis wearable electronic computer , Magnusson is using a pair ofMyvu glassesthat slip on like a pair of sunglasses but have a midget telecasting screen door build up into the lens . A Beagleboard course Angstrom Linux and a Plexgear mini USB hub that drive the Bluetooth adaptor and expose forms the residuum of this rather simple car . Four 2700 mAh AA batteries are used to power the USB hub . Magnusson has used a foldable Nokia keyboard for input and is pipe cyberspace connectivity through Bluetooth tether to an iPhone in his air pocket .
Magnusson says he wants to use the wearable computer to “ augment ” his memory board .
“ By having my to - do tilt in the corner of my eye , I always recollect the point of my schedule , ” he tell .
