Brooke ShieldsandGrier Hammond Henchyare the embodiment of “like mother, like daughter.”
The 17-year-old daughter of Shields and Chris Henchy took a page from her mother’s stylebook — and wardrobe — as she wore a vintage Badgley MIschka dress that her mother previously wore in the early 2000s.
Shields, 58, originally wore it 22 years ago during Marshall Field’s Fash Bash at Chicago Theater in Chicago. She was photographed at the eventposing with the other Fash Bash modelsin the dress on stage and they evenrecreated the Hollywood Issue coverofVanity Fairtaken that year.

While Henchy followed suit in wearing no jewelry with the dress, silver heels and natural makeup, she did add her own twist to the look. She styled her hair in light loose waves around her shoulders, while her mother had her hair pinned back in a straightened hairdo.
Shieldscommented on the rewear on her Instagram, writing, “Two of my most favorite recent moments… each 22 years apart ❤️ This week Grier wore my@badgleymischkadress from 2001 to my@cafecarlylepremiere!! And#tbtto Rowan wearing my golden globes dress to prom. How cool is this?! 👯♀️.”
“The rules have changed since I was [a model],” Shields told the hosts. “I fought it for so long. It’s such a different industry now than it was.”

She said the 17-year-old also aspired to do runway, something Shields never wound up doing during her fashion career and which she described as “brutal.” However, theBlue Lagoonstar said she eventually conceded — with certain conditions.
“I finally had to give in and say if you’re gonna do this a.) I’m not gonna be your manager. You’re going to be with an agency. You’re going to have a great work ethic. It’s not going to be comfortable and you’re gonna listen to me,” Shields explained of her guidelines, adding that Henchy also needed to enroll in college.
