It’s the end of an era.
The official trailer for season 7 ofVeepdropped Sunday night, showingJulia Louis-Dreyfusas politician Selina Meyer for the last time.
The trailer showsflashbacks from past seasonsleading up to Meyer’s decision to run for president yet again.
“I’m going to run for president again,” she says.
But now the question remains: will Meyer lose yet another bid for the presidency?
“She’s ending things on her own term,” tweeted the officialVeepaccount.
Louis-Dreyfus also shared the trailer on Twitter, writing, “We’re coming back. Get your sorry a—– ready.”
The upcoming season will serve as the series’ last.
The actress, 57, posted a series of photos of herself making silly faces with a handful of her costars at the show’s wrap party, includingMatt Walsh,Anna Chlumsky, Sam Richardson and more.
“I’m going to miss these people more than I can express,” she wrote. “Actually I already do miss them. I’m gutted.”
It’s been a long year for Louis-Dreyfus, who went public with the news that she had beendiagnosed with breast cancerin September 2017.
In October, Louis-Dreyfus opened up aboutbeating the diseaseand returning to the series, which postponed filming while she underwent cancer treatment.
“First and foremost, we had stalledVeepproduction because of my situation,” she saidduring an appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live. “A lot of people worked for me, so I knew I really couldn’t keep it private because I had to tell everybody what was going on.”
Through the experience, Louis-Dreyfus said her eyes were opened as to the importance of affordable health care.
“I think it’s an important conversation to have about health and health care,” she said. “I very much considered the notion that as someone battling this disease, the idea that I might not have health insurance, which I do thanks to my great union, is completely terrifying.”
Veep‘s seventh and final season premieres on HBO in spring 2019.
