It’s not always sunny in Philadelphia forRob McElhenney— he lost out in a bidding war for the coveted, limited edition autographed Eagles letterman jacket!

The kelly green varsity jacket,which has regal connections, was sold for $100,000 last Friday in an auction benefiting the NFL team’s Autism Foundation,according to thePhilly Voice.

Earlier this month, Jason and Travis discussed the jacket on their podcast and shared their excitement at McElhenney’s interest in the jacket.

McElhenney, 46, shared a video of Jason and Travis discussing the bids for the jacket on their podcast, noting that the actor had placed the highest bid at one point at $10,050. However, Jason noted that the bid was updated to $20,000.

TheIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphiastartweeted at the brothersabove the clip, “You better hit refresh @JasonKelce and @tkelce :).”

Jason thenresponded on X, “Dude I’m trying, I think you crashed the site!!,” alongside a GIF with the words “What’d you do??”

The Wrexham FC co-owner eventually upped his bid to $62,000 to honor Jason’s jersey number, 62, before losing out on the item.

The jacket once also had the approval of another famous face —Princess Diana.

The late Princess of Wales was frequently photographed wearing the jacket, and made a fashion statement with it on the June 1994 cover of PEOPLE.

The Princess of Wales first received the jacket from the Eagles’ statistician Jack Edelstein after they connected at the funeral forPrincess Graceof Monaco in 1982. Before she became a movie star and married Prince Rainier, Grace Kelly was a Philadelphia native and family friend of Edelstein.
