Michael Keatonis singing his praise forJenna Ortega!
While chatting withEntertainment Tonightearlier this week at the premiere of his new filmKnox Goes Away, the actor, 72, spoke about returning for the sequel to 1988’sBeetlejuice, appropriately titledBeetlejuice Beetlejuice.
When asked what it was like working alongside Ortega, 21 — his new castmate who stars as the daughter ofWinona Ryder’s character, Lydia Deetz — Keaton couldn’t help but gush.
“Oh man, she’s good, she’s just got it, you know? She’s got the tone,” Keaton said of the actress. “She showed up and just immediately knew what the tone was and just slipped in like she does every day. She’s really special.”

Tim Burtonis directing the sequel toBeetlejuice, whileBrad Pitt’s company, Plan B, is producing.
Along with Keaton and Ryder, 52, one other star who is returning for the follow-up film includesCatherine O’Hara, who played Lydia’s mother, Delia.
Willem Dafoeis also a part of the cast and is believed to be playing a law enforcement officer in the afterlife, perThe Hollywood Reporter, whileJustin Therouxis also set to be inBeetlejuice Beetlejuice, though his role has yet to be revealed.
Monica Bellucci, who isrumored to be dating Burton, is also among the new cast members in the sequel. TheMafia Mammastar is set to play Beetlejuice’s wife.

“It’s the most fun I’ve had on set in a long time,” said the actor, who filmed the movie last year.
“On one hand, you’d go, ‘Well, of course it’s the most fun. It looks like fun.’ As you know, it doesn’t always work like that,” he continued.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuiceis set to be released in theaters on Sept. 6, 2024.
