This hopeless romantic just got hitched!
Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney were married Saturday evening at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans, PEOPLE confirms.
The musicians tied the knot in front of close friends and family, including her 13-year-old daughter Owen and their 7-month-old son Rhys, the Black Keys rocker’s rep tells PEOPLE.
Branch teased their nuptials on Instagram in the days leading up to the ceremony. On Thursday, she shared a photo of a beer koozie from Domilise’s Po-Boy & Bar, announcing the start of the festivities: “we here.” And on Friday, the singer posted a shot of her kissing Carney at a party, writing: “Love is in the air (and tequila after champagne was a bad idea).”

The singer-songwriter and the Black Keys musicianfirst metin February 2015 at a Grammys party in Los Angeles. The pair began collaborating soon after — they coproduced her latest album,Hopeless Romantic— and fell in love along the way.
“I’d never had someone who was that supportive,” Branch told PEOPLE of their relationship in 2017. “He’s an amazing, amazing human. We both just jumped in with both feet.”
Branch moved into Carney’s Nashville-area home in June 2016. Then Carneyproposedon July 2, 2017: Branch’s 34th birthday.
“Thank you for all the birthday love and wishes. Last night, right before I blew out my candles, Patrick asked me to marry him and then I had nothing left to wish for … 34 might be the best year yet,” Branch wrote on Instagram, announcing their engagement.
Branch and Carney — who postponed their initial wedding date —welcomed their son, Rhys James, in August 2018.
In the months leading up to their big day, Branch documented some of the sweet details on Instagram.
On March 19, the singer revealed the spooky story behind the wedding gift Carney bought her.
“[Carney] and I went to pick up our wedding rings today … While waiting for our receipt I noticed this stunning old brooch in the case and asked the salesperson ‘can you tell me more about this brooch?’ She started telling me that it’s Georgian (1750’s roughly) and the oldest item in the store when suddenly Patrick jumps back exclaiming that the brooch, under glass, has just moved towards us about an inch and a half! Literally falling out of the original box! At the very same moment, the computer the saleswoman was working on goes dark and completely crashes!” Branch captioned her Instagram post of the antique accessory. “So of course, Patrick decides we have to have it and purchases it as my wedding gift!”
This union is the second marriage for Branch, who was previously married to Owen’s father, Teddy Landau (they split in 2015); it is the third marriage for Carney, who was previously married to Emily Ward and Denise Grollmus.
