Taylor Swift’s longtime publicist is shutting down the rumor mill.
On Thursday the superstar’s rep Tree Paine slammed DeuxMoi, an anonymous Instagram account that shares unconfirmed celebrity gossip, following a post that claimedSwift and ex-boyfriend Joe Alwynhad a “marriage” ceremony in 2020 or 2021.
“Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post,“Paine wrote on X(formerly Twitter). “It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”
“Well I make zero dollars from lying… can publicists say the same,” DeuxMoi — who has a weekly podcast and released a novelAnon Pls.last year—wrote in response in another deleted post. “Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain & trauma’ after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words. Either way, I apologize to Taylor.”
Sources previously confirmed to PEOPLE in April that Swift, 33, and Alwyn, 32, hadbroken up after six yearstogether.

During their ultra-private relationship, the couple often dodged engagement buzz, with Alwynquipping toWSJ. Magazine: “If I had a pound for every time I think I’ve been told I’ve been engaged, then I’d have a lot of pound coins.”
Swift — who is currently dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — alsoaddressed the engagement rumorson herMidnightstrack “Lavender Haze,” singing, “All they keep asking me is if I’m gonna be your bride/ the only kinda girl they see is a one night or a wife.”
“This song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff,” she said in an Instagram tease at the time.
On Thursday,Swift made a surprise appearancein London at Beyoncé’sRenaissancefilm premiere, where she showed her support for her fellow music industry icon in an on-theme silver look.
